What to Wear: Summer Concert

The other week, I grabbed lunch with a friend who I hadn’t seen in over a year. While stuffing ourselves with yummy Mexican carne asadas and steaming corn tortillas, we chatted bucket lists and summer plans, which led to the Paradiso Festival.

What’s the Paradiso Festival? I didn’t even know what it was! My friend calls it a giant rave, but it’s more than that. It’s a whole weekend event held at The Gorge Amphitheater, a huge stage near a camp grounds about 150 miles east of Seattle. Think open fields with a river as the backdrop in the middle of a dry, hot summer. Once there, you can pitch a tent then head over to enjoy the amusement rides, aerial performers and stage acts.

Sounds like a fun-filled weekend, right? So I’m still contemplating whether I want to shell out $70, but if I do go, I already have ideas on what I’d wear. Of course! Of course! :) Check it…

I’m thinking because it’ll be the summer, it’s gonna be hot. A breezy off-the-shoulder tee will keep me cool, and the seaform green mini skirt will add that pop of color and balance the loose top. Gotta keep them feet happy while on my them all day, plus these boots will protect my toes.

A dress is my favorite choice. One item so I don’t gotta fuss and adjust. No pockets? That’s what an awesome little crossbody bag is for. And these black leather boots ground this slighty girly dress.

Casual

And for that time of the month or when dresses and skirts won’t do…there’s always a simple tank and shorts. Topping it off with a cool musical-note necklace and rad shades. Chuckin up them deuces!

Have you been to a summer outdoor concert or ever thought of going to one? What would you wear?
