It’s so gorgeous in Seattle right now! Whenever it’s sunny, I always head to the park and go for a long walk. I throw on my favorite cat-eye sunglasses, grin from ear-to-ear, and just take it all in – the warm sun, the fresh sea air, and the beautiful mountain views. Ahh…I can feel the wonderful sun hitting on my skin now. But then that sea breeze kicks up and I’m glad I’m fashionably layered in a cardigan. Classic, cute and cozy, the cardigan is an essential layering piece. In this week’s edition of Bow Fashion, it’s all about cute bow cardigans.
When I first saw this picture I thought, “Oh, so J Crew.” But it’s actually Madewell! I love the fun color combination of blue and green, and I like how they styled a cutesy cardigan and made it cool.
2. Kate Spade
Retro cute with good use of bright girly colors, it’s Kate Spade, for sure. Layer a bow cardi over a bow tee for double the fun!
3. Alannah Hill
Alannah Hill is a new Australian designer I just discovered. She designs romantic, girly fashion with a retro grunge-punk style. Worn beanies and combat boots with cardigans – oh yes!
4. Vintage 90′s
Here’s another great example of how to, what I like to call, unstyle the adorable cardigan. Get the street-style look with a slouchy tee, distressed cut-off jeans, sweater tights, and funky shoes.
You can crochet your own big bow cardigan! A great sweater to wear to work or to cozy up with a cup of tea.
The sun’s shining so go out and enjoy the spring air! Grab a cute bow cardigan to layer. Then take a style cue from Madewell and Alannah Hill for a cool or grunge look, or stay classic like Kate Spade. How would you wear a bow cardigan?
